What is Biodynamic Farming

A Farm with a Soul

Biodynamic farming is a form of regenerative agriculture that goes beyond just sustainability. It views the entire farm as a single, living organism—a self-contained entity with its own unique spirit. This organism is composed of the soil, plants, animals, and even the farmers themselves, all working in a dynamic, interconnected relationship.

The goal is not just to grow food without chemicals, but to actively heal the Earth by creating a vibrant, fertile, and resilient ecosystem. It’s about cultivating health and vitality from the soil all the way to the soul of the community it feeds.

What we’re doing

The Core Principles in Action

Working with Cosmic Rhythms

We align farming activities like planting, cultivating, and harvesting with the cycles of the sun, moon, and planets. This enhances the vitality, flavor, and resilience of the crops in tune with nature's pulse.

The Farm as an Organism

We create "closed-loop" systems where the farm generates its own fertility. Animal manure is composted to feed the soil, which grows the food that nourishes both people and animals, minimizing waste and outside inputs.

The Biodynamic Preparations

At the heart of our practice are nine special preparations made from fermented herbs, minerals, and manure. Used in homeopathic amounts, they enliven the soil, guide the composting process, and boost the farm's overall health.

The Regenerative Impact

By healing the soil, we create cascading benefits for our health, our communities, and the climate. The difference is tangible and measurable.
